A few weeks before Christmas, Ben got a phone call from the North Pole. Santa was looking for a good architect to design the dollhouse he and his elves wanted to make Abby for Christmas. Ben accepted the job and immediately went to work on the design. Once Santa had approved the drawings, Ben started work at Santa's workshop annex in Bountiful. (A.K.A. Grandpa's house) Ben put a lot of long hours in at the shop and was quite excited about the finished project. So excited, in fact, that long after the kids were in bed on Christmas Eve, Ben stayed up late to wait for Santa to deliver this special present. After he set up all of the furniture and dollies just right, he decided to take a few photos. I took this photo of him at midnight...
Always willing to do anything to ensure a great shot, Ben spent a good 1/2 hour hanging big sheets of white paper from our ceiling and positioning our lamps for optimum lighting. See the results of his midnight photo shoot below. (He finally made it to bed at 2:00 AM.)

Way to go Ben! Abby is now the proud owner of the only custom designed dollhouse on the block.

Way to go Ben - what a perfect project for an architect daddy. Did it bring back memories of model making in the studio?
