Here Comes Santa Clause

Hi, this is Abby again, here to tell you what we did to get ready for Santa's arrival at our house on Christmas Eve. First, we put Isaac in bed so Santa would know that at least one kid was sleeping. (Good job Isaac, way to take one for the team little buddy.) Then Mommy and I went to work on the cookies. First, we rolled the dough into little balls and lined them up on the tray.

While the cookies were baking, we wrote a note to Santa. Mommy was my scribe and wrote while I dictated:
"Deaw Santa,
Danks fow a shovew. We made some cookies fow you and we made some cawwots for you's weindeew. Dewr's some miwk in hewe fow you. Be cawefuw dwiving youw sweigh tonight. Wuv, Abby"

(Translation: Dear Santa, Thanks for the shovel. We made some cookies for you and we made some carrots for your reindeer. There's milk in here {pointing to the cup} for you. Be careful driving your sleigh tonight. Love, Abby)

Just as we finished the letter, the cookies were done. We put them on a special Christmas plate next to a glass of milk, carrots for the reindeer and a little orange for Santa. I found the Santa ornament and put it next to the treats so Santa would know they were for him when he came.

One final step - putting the magic key outside so Santa could open our door. Then it was off to bed for me!
