Holiday Highlight #6

New Year's Eve: Snowmobiling to the Cabin
Last year my dad and brother went in on a cabin and we've been excited to see what it's like in the winter. Last night we found out. BEAUTIFUL!
We snowmobiled in with all our food and gear. Here's my brother Russ and his two boys. My awesome mom and dad (would you believe my dad turns 70 next week? Nothing slows this guy down!)Isaac, Abby and I got to ride in "THE POD". We couldn't help doing the Darth Vader breathing for most of the trip. That thing ROCKED! Once we were at the cabin, we had a blast. We snowshoed around the BEAUTIFUL scenery - here's my super tough mom.The play ground had been converted into a super fun snow fort.
My dad brought up his Radio Flyers and we went flying! After some moon-lit snowmobile tours through the hills, we headed inside for hot chocolate and dutch oven stew. Mmmmm... (Here's my awesome sister-in-law Lisa, enjoying some of the chocolatey good stuff.)Russ enjoying the antelope stew (yes, he shot that poor antelope not too long ago). I could never be a hunter myself, but I must admit - it was quite tasty. As hard as she tried, this little girl just could not stay up until the stroke of midnight.

But this kid did! (Cousin Jackson that is - not my little Isaac who was pooped by eight o-clock.)

Our little family is looking forward to a wonderful 2009 together.
Wishing you and yours a...
Happy New Year!
