Holidays with the Lowry's

Gift exchange at Grandma's. Cousin Jasmine loved her doll from Isaac!

Abby learned how to make a traditional Norwegian dessert with Aunt Brooke.

And we really tried to get the grandkids to sit still long enough to get a photo of them all lined up wearing their elf hats from Grandma. Not exactly the photo we were hoping for.
Since Ben's brother Mike and his wife Brooke were in town for the holidays, we decided to throw a baby shower for Brooke. Abby can't wait for another baby girl to join the family!

Little did this guy know, it was NOT a surprise shower.

Of course we had to have PINK hot chocolate at the hot chocolate buffet!

After the boys had taken their turn at the treat table, they headed downstairs to watch a movie. Apparently, they weren't too interested in all the pink stuff. Abby was thrilled to have all the "big boys" hanging out at her house.

Later in the week we made our annual trip to our friend Sheri's Christmas village. This photo does it absolutely no justice. She has an entire room dedicated to this village and gave Abby and Isaac flashlights to examine every single home, park, pathway, horse-drawn buggy, etc.

And finally, I have to post this picture because nobody in my family will believe it without seeing it. But one of my favorite holiday highlights of 2008 is cooking with my sister Steph. She never cooks (or so she claims) but she sure can whip up a mean pancake cream-puff!
