On the eve of
Falliday, one of our favorite
Falliday Revelers took a scary turn for the worse and had to spend her first week of fall in the hospital. Poor little Alison was showing unusual symptoms of muscle weakening in her face and had to be admitted for testing. After four long days of grueling tests, poking and prodding, she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called
Myasthenia Gravis, as well as Hypothyroidism. The poor kid will require medication, close monitoring, and blood transfusions every three weeks for the rest of her life. In addition, her immune system will be
suppressed by the
meds, so we can't get near her when we're even thinking about getting sick.

Abby and Isaac were eager to visit their buddy and wish her well - so we celebrated
Falliday as best we could in her hospital room.

Of course, we had to stop and pose with
Spiderman in the hall!

We love you Alison - we're praying for you and can't wait for you to get back home where you belong!
