Abby and Isaac went to the store with me, picked out the bag that seemed to be wiggling the most, carefully laid out the white sheet on the ground, picked out the perfect jars to create "Ladybug Houses", and the stage was set. Everyone was excited.
Abby was the first to dive in; picking up handfuls and handfuls of the little red beauties and letting them crawl all over her - giggling as they crawled up her sleeves and down her neck.
Isaac was a bit more cautious at first, letting Abby do all of the catching and giggling and playing. He seemed quite content to observe.
Isaac's calm demeanor was short-lived, however. The instant any friendly little bugs happened to land upon his shirt, he screamed at the top of his lungs, "STOP IT, LADIES!" as he ran circles around the backyard, swatting and jumping and wriggling in a vain attempt to free himself from the clutches of the ferocious, blood-thirsty beasts.Of course, it didn't help that Ben and I were too busy video taping and laughing our heads off to help.
Baby Soren didn't seem to mind at all.
Isaac only calmed down once he was sure the evil monsters were imprisoned.
Yes, it appears our brave little pirate has finally met his match.
