Fall-iday, Day Four

Today, my friends, was Johhny Appleseed Day. Did you check your calendars? Did you celebrate? We did! At preschool, Abby and Isaac played with apples, deorated apples, bobbed for apples and even made applesauce. When I picked them up for Fall-iday, we decided to continue the celebration by picking apples straight from Papa's apple tree! (After we searched high and low for "scawy monstowrs" - Isaac's contribution - that is.)

After the apple pickin', we began a project Abby and I have been wanting to do for a few weeks now - we went on an "Alphabet Walk", looking for letters of the alphabet in our surroundings. We had a FANTASTIC time searching out our favorite letters. Below is a sneak preview of a few of our favorites...

We're going to put them in a book once we've found all 26. Isaac loved the game too, and kept yelling, "W!" "W!" even though there were no w's in sight.

On our way home from the walk, we met up with a few friends at the park - all eager to spend as much time as possible outdoors in the beautiful autumn weather.

This fall thing just keeps getting better and better.
