Creche

On Saturday night, we paid a visit to our friends in Heber and had an incredible experience at the annual "Creche" - a beautiful display of literally thousands of nativities from around the world. Ben snapped this photo of Isaac and I right before we were politely asked NOT to take photos of the displays. Just to be a bit rebellious, we decided to post it, tee hee hee...
Fortunately, cameras were allowed in the children's nativity room. We had to do a bit of coaxing to convince the kids to dress up and hold the (a bit too realistic) baby Jesus - but once the costumes were on and they were in position, they loved it. Here's Abby as Mary, Luke as Joseph and Isaac as " a wammy" waiting for their turn on stage. Thank goodness Isaac is wearing his camo pants, they really blend right in with the rest of the scenery.

Finally, here's the whole crew - complete with Dave, the only adult "Wise" enough to dress up and pose with the kids.

We had to pry Isaac away from Baby Jesus. He just wanted to hug and kiss the baby all night long.

It truly was in incredible evening. It was powerful to see the many expressions of reverence for the birth of our Savior, and to reflect on the impact of His life all over the globe.
Thanks for the invite, Lundbergs!
