Holiday Highlights #2

Free time with my kiddos

Perhaps my favorite part about the holidays this year is all the time I have off work to just play with my kids. I know I'm going out of order here, but today we had a blast. It was such a beautiful day that we just had to get outside. After a quick meal at McDonald's and a loud exploration of Playland, we went to our favorite duck pond to feed our feathered friends.

We love going in the winter for many reasons:

#1 - It is BEAUTIFUL

#2 - Not many people go, so you have the place to yourself.

#3 - The ducks are HUNGRY, and very appreciative of every last crumb.

#4 - The clean white snow camouflages the poop.

Hey Isaac, who is the bread really for buddy?

The birds were so hungry that all human phobias were forgotten. One brave little goose got a little impatient and snapped the bread right out of Isaac's hand - nipping a finger in the process. Isaac was NOT impressed.

But his big sister quickly took him by her side and chased the big ducks away.

What a beautiful afternoon!
