Yesterday was such a beautiful day, that we decided we needed to be outside as much as possible. I had to bribe and coax and beg to get Abby and Isaac into the house for dinner. I was busy preparing their plates when I turned around to see Abby, wearing some imaginative headgear.

She wore that basketball hoop
throughout the entire meal, and
apparently Isaac decided he needed a hat as well. He quickly cruised into Abby's room, opened up the dress-up chest and donned his favorite hat. Doesn't he look just smashing?

After dinner we decided to go to the park and feed the ducks with some friends. We haven't been to
Fairmont Park since a beautiful morning in February, when it was cold and snowy and those hungry birds were VERY appreciative of the breadcrumbs we tossed their way.

We were greeted right away by this attentive little mother and her six little chicks. They were quite happy to see the big bag of rolls we were waving their way. Abby was having a grand old time, until...

She lost her shoe in the sticky, stinky, slimy, poop-infested mud. SICK. Of course, Mommy has to be the one to fish the flip flop out and do her best to wash it off in the equally smelly and disgusting pond water.
ugghh....

Thankfully, we all recovered and spent a splendid summer evening feeding the ducks.

After the last crumb was devoured, we decided to treat ourselves to ice cream.

Here's Isaac just a few moments into his cone...

Ten minutes later, he was savoring each and every lick. Notice the color-changing attire he's sporting!

Then, he was finished and decided to ATTACK mommy with his sticky little face. Thank goodness for the trusty garden hose...

Oh, to be two again!
