Some may think that rain would put a "damper" on
Falliday festivities. Oh, how wrong they are. We started off this rainy fall morning with Mickey - Mouse shaped pancakes, and of course - fall leaf sprinkles. It was Abby's idea actually - I was making pancakes and she came bounding into the kitchen saying, "
Wet's decowrate them
fowr Fawlliday, Mommy!" and handed me the sprinkles. Yes, the brainwashing is coming along quite nicely.
Isaac spent the morning
chillin' indoors with his pal, Bunny.
After lunch, the kids were a bit stir-crazy, so we decided a fall craft was in order. We took the acorns we collected at Grandma and Grandpa's last week and used them to create a "corny" family portrait.
When the rain cleared up, the sun came out and revealed a fresh, crisp fall afternoon. We had to head out for a walk and take advantage of the break in the weather. Abby and I took a scooter ride around the neighborhood.
After a few minutes, Abby kicked me off so she could cruise through the leaves.
Daddy, Isaac (and Bunny, of course) followed close behind.
