This year we are especially thankful for our family. On Thursday we celebrated Turkey Day by chowing down twice - once with each side of the family. Speaking as one who was still recovering from a NASTY bout of the stomach flu the day before, it was a true Thanksgiving miracle that everything stayed down. (No offense to the chefs, of course) By the time we arrived at feast number one, everyone was already seated and about to dive in - so no photos were taken of the delicacies. Only after the turkey was devoured, the rolls had long disappeared, and the belts had been loosened, did the camera emerge. Below you'll see the after-affects of a Thanksgiving meal on the people we love...
Here's my sister Kristen teaching her daughter Megan the secret-pie-making-rite-of-passage which every girl must pass to become a "True Ridges". (Note: Steph and I both failed, so Meg- it looks like you're our only hope!)
Russ loosened the belt and stretched out to make room for dessert while he and the boys watched a little football.
Looks like the tryptophane was hitting this little dude who ate half his body weight in turkey.
Megan gloated that she's better at making pie than her aunts.
And while the rest of us were laying around digesting, I looked over at the deserted table to find little Lexi still going strong all by herself. She was bound and determined to get every single last crumb off her plate.

And here's what a little turkey and stuffing do to my beautiful children...

...it turns them into a couple of HAMS!
