Behold, the Queen

Today we dined with a queen. Little Jasmine Quraishi burst into the world two weeks ago and promptly demoted Abby to 'princess' status. Here she sits upon her throne. A little explanation. This is "Team Lowry" with their Aunt Alison. For years, Abby has been the only Lowry girl- quite a novelty to her active boy cousins. During her reign, her brave and noble warriors declared her royalty when she was just a few days old. They paraded her around on pillows, built fortresses and castles to protect her from the enemy, obeyed her every command and defended her to the last breath in countless sword fights. You'd think Abby would be bitter about this new turn of events. Quite the contrary. Abby too, is enchanted by little Jasmine. (And, let's be honest, princesses are WAY cooler than queens to a three-year-old. They're the stars of all the books and movies, come on now.)

When we were shopping for Easter dresses, Abby saw this one hanging from the rack with a matching dress for a doll. She immediately knew it must be hers. "It even has a matching dwess fowr baby Jasmine!" she declared. We had to do a photo shoot.
After playing with Jasmine for a few minutes, this little dude looks GIANORMOUS!!! What happened to my baby?
He is growing up so fast. He babbles on and on and on all day - learning new words by the minute. He's getting smarter too - today he realized how lucky he is to have an aunt like Brenda and refused to leave her side all night long. Thanks for being such a good sport, Brenda - and pretending you didn't mind the cookie slime on your clothes and the handfuls of toys and candy he kept forcing you to take.

I believe the words are "PRETTY in PINK". For sure. What a lot of HAIR! They both are darling. Oh, don't forget to mention just how handsome Issac is too. Just like his hunk of a Dad. Hi Ben! Karen

She is ridiculously cute. I can't stand it.

Your kids looked sweet on Easter.

I'm going to miss them.
